S01E01: "Pilot"

My wife, Yuko Kitagawa, stood by me through the good and the bad times. I spent most of my days running my flourishing business instead of spending time with her. Now that I'm gone, I owe her a better life. In my will, I order her to leave Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun, to start a brand new life in sunny Los Angeles. Otherwise, she will not inherit my wealth! Boy, I bet you she was angry!

Yuko moves into a wealthy neighborhood and meets some interesting folks...

 

Our son, Daichi (or "Ken"), is a student at UCLA. They could really use bonding time now that they live in the same city.

Yuko's very loyal personal assistant, Saburo, has followed her to Los Angeles. I know that he will take very good care of her...

Yuko loves to see fortune tellers. I hope her a bright future...

I think Yuko will be alright!

Season 1 begins on January 28, 2011.

'Ms. Yen: Angry Japanese Woman' is a comic series aimed to confute Asian-American stereotypes. The series was created by Captain Charley and will debut in late-January of 2011. The series stars Yuko Kitagawa (or "Ms. Yen") a bitter, begrudging, and blunt Japanese woman who was forced to leave Tokyo in order to inherit her late husband's wealth and live in Los Angeles where she meets (and deals with) some interesting folks.
